RAIN DEVELOPING The Meteorological Office in Wellington has issued the following official weather forecast for to-day:— Situation.—A deep depression is'advancing across New Zealand from the Central Tasman Sea. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Strong north-east winds. Weather, overcast with rain developing from the north, prohably in the afternoon. Further Outlook.—Unsettled and cold. Weather in Dunedin.—Although the sun only shone for 3hr 36min, the weather was much milder in Dunedin yesterday, • when there was a north-east breeze. Temperatures were warmer, the maximum being 54.3 degrees, the minimum 49.9 degrees, and the grass minimum 48.1 degrees. No rain was recorded. The barometric pressure fell during the day, and at midnight the reading was 29.7 inches (1006 millibars).
