CLOUDY TO OVERCAST The Meteorological Office in Wellington has issued the following official weather forecast for to-day:— Situation.—A ridge of high pressure lies from the North Island across the Chatham Islands. A complex low pressure trough' is advancing slowly across the Tasman Sea. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Mode-rate north winds, freshening at times. Weather: Cloudy to overcast, with patches of light rain possible late in tihe day. Temperatures cool, but rising. Further Outlook.—Probably fair. Weather in Dunedin. —The weather on Saturday was sunny and mild, but conditions were dull and cold yesterday. There was a light north-east wind, but no rainfall was recorded throughout the week-end. The temperature ranged from 42.3 degrees to 53.1 degrees on Saturday, and 47.6 degrees to 50.8 degrees yesterday. The sunshine figure for Saturday was over eight hours, but yesterday there were only two hours. The barometer reading at midnight was 29.97 inches (1015 millibars). > •.«,
