Five million motor cars and trucks left the assembly lines of United States factories last year. This figure was quoted as an indication of the industry’s return to peace-time production by Mr A. S. Pie-ce regional director for Australia and New Zealand of the General Motors Acceptance corporation, when he arrived in the Dominion by air from Sydney a few days ago.
