“BACK-HANDER” TO BUILDER HEAVY PENALTY IMPOSED P.A. INVERCARGILL,'May 14. In the Magistrate’s Court tb-day Raymond Hepburn Hodge, a builder, was convicted on two charges of breaches of the Land Sales Act and fined £IOO, together with the sum of £125 which he received as a “ back-hander ’* from William Frederick Kidd, who purchased a house from him.
