'"Approximately £IBOO is involved in this case, and I would ask that bail be substantial and that the accused be required to report to the police daily,” said DetectiVe-sergeant G. E. Callaghan, in the Magistrate’s Court to-day after he had applied for a remand of the case against Iris Lilian Richardson, aged 44, a domestic, who was charged with the theft of £llO on May 10. , Counsel for the accused applied for bail, which the magistrate, Mr W. F. Stilwell, S.M., fixed at £l5O and a surety for a like amount. The charge to-day alleged that the accused had stolen the money from the Co-opera-tive Taxi Owner-drivers’ Society.
