Annual Meeting of Association Mr A. McDonald was in the chair at the annual meeting of the North Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Association yesterday afternoon In speaking to the annual report, the president said the membership was not as large as it could be, there being approximately v 3OO country members out of a total of 427 mrnbers. Mr R. B. Meek, referring to the financial statement', said there was one amount of £l6O 13s 4d for repairs and maintenance which would not recur. The association had handled practically the same amount of money as last year. The annual report and balance sheet were adopted. Before vaoating the chair, Mr McDonald thanked members for their support and team-work during the year. Election of Officers The officers elected were:—President, Mr J. A. C McKenzie; vice-president, Mr D. Malcolm: treasurer, Mr R. B. Meek; committee—Messrs E. H.’Aubrey, D. Cant, W. Doig, A. S. Macdonald, K. D. Meyer, J L. Parsons, G. S. Pringle, R. R. Ruddenklau, J. Simpson, J. Trotter, C. F. Wedge (all re-elected), J. Bruce and F. Euran; auditors, Smith and Pearce. Mr J Kingan’s motion, of which he had given notice, that the immediate past-president should automatically become a member of the committee, was carried. A motion of appreciation of the work of the retiring president, Mr A. McDonald. was recorded Monthly Meeting

Mr McKenzie presided at a subsequent meeting of the committee. It was decided to make no additional charge to the Eveline Rifle Club for the use of the grandstand at the Showgrounds. The final seven debentures of the in-terest-free loan of £IBOO. subscribed by members in 1920 for purchasing part of the present Showgrounds, were drawn as follows:—Estates Isaac Cuthbertson, W.J3. Grave, S. Hampton and J. Bates, Stringer and Co., J. Wilson and F. H. Davis. The executors in the estate of Isaac Cuthbertson gave back the amount of the debenture to the association's iron fund. i Thirteen new members were elected.
