Some dairy factories in the Wellington province had been forced to close down as a result ,of the widespread drought in the summer, said Mr A. Linton, member of the New Zealand Dairy Board, at a central dairy ward conference at Palmerston North.' Mr Linton said that very little cheese had been made in the province during the past three months, as most of the milk was going into the Wellington city supply.
