POVERTY BAY TURF CLUB P.A. WELLINGTON, May 13.
There will be racing irt~ Gisborne on the next three Saturdays, the Poverty Bay Turf Club opening this week with the first day of its winter meeting. The fields are the largest this club has secured for many years. Horses in favour include:— 11.15: Wainui Hurdles.—Zulu Boy, United Nations, Silverstre.
12.0: Waipoa Hack Handicap.—Lady Cocoanut, Farrier, Queen’s Parade.
12.45: Publiqans’ Purse.—Lord Latour, Sir Warrior, Lord Boswells. 1.30: Gisborne Steeplechase.—Kilmanagh, Whiphand. 2.15: Maiden Stakes No. I.—Queen’s Parade, Johannes, Baby Fox. 3.0: Maiden Stakes No. 2.—Royal Signal, Island Queen, Minuet. 3.45: Te Hapara Handicap.—Fmdon, Sortell, Embrolita. 4.30: Haiti Hack Handicap.—Clive Bey, Hazrine, Don Robin.
