STARVING CHILDREN APPEAL

INTERIM BANKING RETURN P.A WELLINGTON. May 12. Up till Tuesday night the Bank of New Zealand at Wellington had been notified of deposits for the United Nations appeal for children totalling £12,600. All amounts paid in throughout the country are being remitted to the Wellington branch of the bank, but delays in transit mean that the total reported at Wellington excludes the bulk of donations of the previous two or three days in many centres.
