MARTHA DIVIDEND

P.A. AUCKLAND, May 12. An unchanged dividend of 3d sterling a share is being recommended by the directors of the Martha Gold Mining Company (Waihi), Ltd., for the year ended December 31 The dividend, however, is now the equivalent of 10 per cent., against 5 per cent, for the previous year, the company having returned half of its capital, equal to 2s 6d sterling a share, last August. The dividend is free of British income tax and will become payable on June 9 to shareholders registered on May 22. To shareholders on the New Zealand register, the dividend is paid in New Zealand currency amounting to 3.7 d a share. The paid capital of 'he company is now £123,977 in 991,814 shares of 2s Gd each.
