GREEN ISLAND COMPETITIONS

There was a large audience at the Green Island Competitions Festival which was continued last night. The judges remarked on the good standard in all classes. Results:— Piano Solo (13 and under 16 years).— Nola McMullan 2.

Vocal Duet (10 to 13 years)—James McSkimming and Stuart Rose 2. Action Song in Character (10 to 13 years).—Valda Proctor 1, Joan Cheyne 2, Lenore Potbury 3. George Tyler, Shirley Tippet, and Pauline Mowat were highly commended. Humorous Recitation (girls 13 to 16 years).—Shirley Thompson 1, Velma Lobb 2, Carol Anderson 3. Character Sketch (10 to 13 years).— Estelle Smith 1, Shirley Adams 2, Valda Proctor 3.

One Act Play (continued from Tuesday evening).—Green Island W.I. Drama Circle 2.
