WOMEN'S GOLF TITLES Daily Times Special Service INVERCARGILL, May 12.

Play in the Eastern Southland women’s golf championships was continued at Gore to-day, the competitors completing their rounds in heavy showers which fell intermittently during the clay. The second qualifying round was completed in the morning, the afternoon being devoted to the first round of match play. To-morrow, the semi-finals and finals will be played. The following qualified:— Senior Championship.—Mrs J. K. Dolan (Dunedin) 90, 90 —180; Mrs D. M. Wilson (Invercargill), 93, 94 —187; Mrs J. E. Salisbury (Invercargill), 93, 97 190; Mrs A. J. Homan (Gore), 97, 94 191; Miss S. King (Winton), 95, 97 192: Mrs G. E. Glennie (Gore), 97. 97 —194: Miss E. McLeod (Temuka), 96, 99—195: Mrs R. W. Lusk (Gore), 98. 102—200. Match play results:—Senior Championship (first round): Mrs Dolan beal Mrs Lusk, Mrs Salisbury beat Mrs Glennie. Mrs Homan beat Miss King, Mrs Wilson beat Mrs McLeod. In the Junior Championship, the only Dunedin player to qualify was Mrs A. Sime who was defeated in the first round of match play.
