ST. JAMES THEATRE

Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, one of the great comedy teams the screen has produced, return to delight audiences in the spectacular production of ” The Bohemian Girl,” which will be shown at the St. James Theatre to-morrow. Based on an opera by Michael William Balfe, the film not only provides the comedians with the best material of their careers, but also opens up a wider field of entertainment in a story of gipsy life. Among the hilarious scenes depicted are those where Laurel and Hardy become pickpockets, “ mother ” a baby girl, and endeavour to bottle a potent wine. The musical score of the opera has been retained, and some original ballads added.
