REGENT THEATRE As a play “ Life with Father,” which will open at the Regent Theatre to-mor-row. ran for eight consecutive seasons in the same theatre, and as a film it had Auckland’s Embassy Theatre ringing with laughter for two months. “ Life with Father ’’ is an outstandingly hilarious family comedy based on Clarence Day’s story,' the principal roles being played by William Powell, who, ns father, is the man who has made the world a better place to laugh in, while mother (Irene Dunne) is the only one who is able to subdue her somewhat erratic husband. The supporting cast includes Zasu Pitts, Edmund Gwenn, and Elizabeth Taylor.
