Outstanding Exhibit at British Industries Fair

One of the most outstanding exhibits at this year's British Industries Fair, being held at Olympia, from May 3 to 14, is the display by Smith’s English Clocks, Ltd. During the war years Smiths produced large numbers of precision instruments of many types, but this present display at Olympia shows the great advances made by Smiths in the re-establishment of the British Horological Industry. From a Pocket Watch to a Tower Clock, the extensive range of products on view includes the world famous Smith’s “ Sectric ” clocks for mantel or wall installation, Enfield striking and chiming clocks, Smith's 30-hour “ Dawn " and " Victory ” mechanical alarms, 24-hour fully automatic “ Sectric ” Auto-alarms, Barometers, Wrist and Pocket Watches, Stop Watches, Time Records, Process Timers, Master Clocks and Master Clock Systems and various types of Tower Clock mechanisms.

To the casual observer, it is difficult to imagine that one firm could produce so many different types of beautifully made instruments such as is shown in this very impressive exhibit. Everyone is catered for—from the smallest household to the giants of the industrial world. There is no doubt that a great deal has been achieved in a comparatively short space of time by this old established, world-famous English firm. As one leaves the Smith’s exhibit at the British Industries Fair, one cannot help but feel that Smith’s English Clocks, Ltd., have contributed greatly to England's remarkable recovery in the post-war period.—Advt.
