PIPE BAND

Mr V. E. Doran was in the ciiair at the monthly meeting of the North Otago Highland Pipe Band. The New Zealand Pipe Bands' Association forwarded a complete summary of the points gained by the various bands at the recent Dominion contest. Judges’ comments on how the bands in general could improve their appearance and drill were also received. Drum-major Minty was granted temporary leave of absence. It was reported that the band had commenced its winter training programme.
