EARLY SETTLERS
A further social afternoon was held by Hie North Otago Early Settlers’ Association yesterday when there was a large attendance. Three new members were elected. It was decided to hold future social afternoons in St. Paul’s Hall and also to hold weekly card sf*“rnoOn s in the Early Settlers’ Hall. Mr R. B. Meek, who was in the chair, gave a detailed report of the centennial celebrations held recently at Dunedin and Port Chalmers. Items were contributed by Misses Allan and D. Stephens, Mesdames Cormack, Bowman, Kinder, Tomlinson and Mr W. Burdett. Mrs Patterson was the accompanist.
