TRANS PACIFIC RUN

NEGOTIATION FOR LARGER VESSEL . Bee. 10 p.m. WASHINGTON, Apl. 17. A first-class United States liner will replace the Marine Phoenix on the Pacfic run if negotiations now being conducted by the American Ambassador to Australia. Mr R. L. Butler, are successful, and indications are that they will be. Mr Butlen to-night said that, in addition to being considerably larger than the Marine Phcenie, which is not making what is believed to be her last trans-Pacific voyage, the liner would provide much better facilities and a higher standard of comfort.
