HOMING PIGEONS
DUNEDIN CLUB The Dunedin Homing Pigeon Club took part in the New Zealand Pigeon Federation Malcolmson Cup race on Saturday bv flying its section from Hinds. The Winning bird flew the 138 miles in 4 hours 8 minutes at a velocity of 978 yards a minute. Results:—A. Frasers Regal Prince 1, J. Scoullar’s Meteor 2, L. Conroy’s Pencil Blue 3, J. Still’s Mosaic Queen 4, W. Hargreaves’s Raywm 5. On Saturday there will be a South Island challenge race between clubs from Christchurch, Timaru, Invercargill and Dunedin. The local club will fly its section from Ashburton (150 miles).
