NEW CZECH CONSUL APPOINTED IN MONTREAL

Rec. 10 p.m. OTTAWA, Apl. 14. The Czechoslovakian Government has appointed as its Consul in Montreal the diplomat whose withdrawal from Washington was requested by the United States, and it has asked the External Affairs Department to recognise the appointment. The diplomat, Mr Evzon Syrokotka, has arrived in Montreal and the External Affairs Department is studying the appointment. Mr Syrokotka was Attache in Washington.
