NAPIER WOOL SALE
GENERAL PRICE EASING STEADY INQUIRY MAINTAINED p.A. NAPIER, Mar. 12. The easing tendency of the London and late Dominion sales was reflected on the Napier wool sale when the first portion of the 43.000-bale offering encountered a steady inquiry, but on a far less liberal basis than at earlier The official report stated that there was a full bench of buyers and competition was well spread and keen. The wool offering consisted mostly of ewe wool and was generally not so attractive as at earlier sales. Fleece wool was keenly sought after at reduced limits, while inferior skirtings were rather neglected. Lambs, with the exception of good to super lots, were erratic and considerably easier.
