“ Holing in one ” is definitely a freak shot! This was conceded by 217 professional and amateur golfers at Salisbury Country Club, New York, in 1932. At some period or other in thein careers they had all holed in one and they assembled to take part in a competion to try to repeat the feat at a 129-yard hole. Each competitor had five shots. The nearest to the hole was 25 inches away, and only 24 of the thousand odd shots were within 10 feet of the pin,
