ONE-DAY STRIKE
SYDNEY TRANSPORT DRIVERS CLAIMS FOR WAGE INCREASE Rec. 8 p.m. SYDNEY, Feb. 24. Sydney’s road transport services will be disorganised next Friday when 700jQ. transport drivers in the metropolitan area will strike for 24 hours. The drivers are seeking to enforce claims for £1 a week wage increase and sick leave.. The stoppage will eliminate retail shop delivery services, parcel deliveries, bulk meat deliveries, and brewery supplies to hotels, Taxis may be almost unprocurable because most drivers belong to the union.
