BOWLING SUCCESS The Alexandra Ladies’ Bowling Rink (Mesdames W. Howjohns, V. Galt, H. Kemp and W Hewitt) defeated a Millers Flat rink (Mesdames McDonald, Shickle. Davidson and Borland) by 18—14. This rink has withstood 18 challenges for the Wilson Hull Cup. BOWLING REPRESENTATIVES The following rink has been selected to represent Alexandra at the rink’s tournament on Saturday:—J. D, Watt, J. H. McKellar, J. Middlemass and W. Hewitt (skip). TENNIS TOURNAMENT In a handicap tournament held by the Alexandra Tennis Club on Saturday Rex Stevens (rec. 10), was the winner of the men's competition. Mrs D. Lundie (owe 8). won the ladies’ section. PERSONAL The Rev. W. J. Bevis and Mrs Bevis of Portobello are visiting Alexandra. Misses G. W. T. Campbell and J. Harley are visiting Dunedin for the band contest.
