FIRE CALLS
Slight damage was caused by a fire in a detached washhouse at Preston crescent Belleknowes, which was attended by the Roslvn brigade at 8.15 a.m. yesterday. At 5.19 p.m. a burning hearth rug at a ‘house in Macandrew road was extinguished before the fire could spread, and slight damage was caused to the wiring of a car parked near the Early Settlers' Hall when the wiring caught fire at 2.25 p.m. The Central brigade answered automatic false alarms from Speight’s brewery in Rattray street at 8.08 p.m.. and from the premises of Coulls, Somerville, Wilkie, Ltd., Crawford street, at 8.43 p.m.
