THE TRAMWAYS DISPUTE

Sir, —“ Hard Working Man ” boasts that Mr Anderson served in two world wars. Well, I’ve served in every war since Cain killed Abel, my name is “ Man,” *but that does not qualify, me as an expert on any transport system. The only way to improve our transport system is per medium of frequent conferences between the management, the tramwaymen and the travelling public, who are prepared to discuss all angles of the problem. This business of a community delegating complete and " thou shalt not criticise ” authority to any committee of experts or otherwise is simply asking for trouble.—l am, etc., A. Caldwell.
