FACTORY DESTROYED
DAMAGE ESTIMATED AT £4OOO P.A. CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 11. A small paint factory of Byfield Industries, Ltd., at Bromley, was destroyed by fire to-night. The damage, is estimated at £4OOO. The factory was outside the fire board district and no water supply was available. : It was fortunate that there was an absence of wind because, if the fire had got into the scrub, 15 houses would have been endangered. Fire breaks were cut and the fire was still burning at midnight
