PRICES REMAIN FIRM Special to the Daily Times OAMARU, Feb. 10. Prices for both prime fat cattle and fat sheep at to-day’s Waiareka sale remained firm on late rates, while those for unfinished fat sheep were Is 6d to 2s easier. There were medium yardings of fat cattle and fat sheep and a good- yarding of store sheep, with a limited * demand for best sorts. There was little demand for medium rape lambs because of the dry weather conditions. Quotations: — Fat Cattle.—Bullocks: Prime made £l7 10s to £l9; medium, £l4 5s to £l6; light, £9 to £l2 3s. Heifers: prime made from £l4 to £l6; light, £lO to £ll. C<?ws: Prime, from £l3 10s to £ls 12s 6d; light, £lO to £l2. Dairy Cattle. —Cows: Prime made from £9 10s to £lO 10s; aged, £5 to £5 Is; springing Jersey heifer, £l4 ss. Store Cattle. —A pen of yearling heifers made £6; pen heifer calves, £4; Jersey bull, £3 10s. Fat Sheep.—Wethers: Extra prime, made 54s to 575; prime, 48s to 51s 6d; light, 41s to 45s 6d; maiden ewes, 38s to 455; hoggets, 35s 6d to 38s. Ewes: Prime, made from 22s to 25s 6d; young, 25s to 26s 6d; lambs, 33s to 38s.

Store Sheep.—A pen of store wether lambs made 16s 2d; pen small shorn ewe lambs, 11s 9d; small shorn wether lambs, 9s; small ewe lambs, 18s to 20s; pen aged wethers, 16s; pen Border Leicester cross four-tooth ewes, 245.

Pigs.—Weaners .made 30s to 435; slips, 44s to 50s; light porkers, 70s to 71s.
