PARALYSIS TREATMENT

KENNY TECHNICIANS ARRIVE P.A. AUCKLAND, Feb. 10.

Two Kenny technicians from the Elizabeth Kenny Institute at Minneapolis, Minnesota, who were invited to New Zealand by the Health Department to co-operate with the Auckland Hospital’s physio-therapists in the treatment of poliomyelitis, arrived this morning by the Australian National Airways Skymaster from Vancouver. They are Miss J. Try and Mrs Verona Horton. They will be in New Zealand approximately six months. Their fares and salaries are being paid by the Health Department. The visit of the technicians was decided on at a conference between the Minister of Health, Miss Howard, and Sister Kenny during the latter’s visit to New Zealand.
