WATERSIDE UNION
ELECTION OF SECRETARY MR HILL’S RETURN ASSURED P.A. WELLINGTON, Feb. 10. The latest reports @n the election of national secretary of the New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Union confirm that Mr T. Hill will be elected with a majority of about 800 votes. It is believed that the other candidate, Mr J. E. Napier, received a slight majority at Gisborne and -Bluff. Mr Hill showed a substantial lead in Wellington and was ahead in Auckland, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and Dunedin.
