RISING TEMPERATURES The Meteorological Office in Wellington has issued the following weather forecast for to-day:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone covers New Zealand. ' Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Moder-ate. variable winds with north-east-erlies developing on the coast. Weather fair with rising temperatures. Weather in Dunedin.—A south-west breeze caused moderate temperatures in Dunedin yesterday, the maximum being 59.5 degrees, the minimum 50.5 degrees, and the grass minimum 48.0 degrees. The sun shone for 10 hours and there was no rain. Pressures were high, the barometer at mid-night reading 30.25 in (1025 millibars).
