MODERATE TEMPERATURES The Meteorological Office in Wellington has issued the following weather forecast for to-day:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone is moving on to New Zealand from the west. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—South-westerly winds, still strong at times on the coast, elsewhere moderate. Isolated showers still, likely south of Dunedin, otherwise fair with moderate temperatures. Weather in Dunedin. Although 10 hours of sunshine were recorded in Dunedin yesterday, a strong south-west wind which reached almost gale force at times made conditions unpleasant. The minimum temperature was 50.5 deg, the maximum 59.5 deg, and the minimum on the grass 53.5 deg. For the 24-hour period ending at 9.30 a.m. 0.11 of an inch of rain was recorded. The barometer rose in the afternoon, the reading.at midnight being 30.15 in (1021 millibars).
