BASES IN FALKLANDS
ERECTION BY THE ARGENTINE BRITAIN LODGES PROTEST LONDON, Jan. 22. The Foreign Office spokesman said Britain had sent a sharp Note to Argentina protesting against the erection of a base on Deception Island, in the Falklands. Reuter’s diplomatic correspondent says it is clear that Britain is genuinely concerned by the activities of the Argentine Navy in the Antarctic.
