YACHT CAPSIZES

■ THREE MEN RESCUED About 3 o'clock on Sunday afternoon Mr Ken Hodge’s Annette, a yacht of the Idlealong class, capsized inside the entrance of the Oamaru Harbour. Three young men who were on the yacht were rescued by Mr Symc in his Idlealong yacht Heather and Mr Jamieson in his 14-footer Delight, which promptly went to their assistance. The Annette was blown out of the harbour mouth to the open sea and diifted up the coast and into the surf opposite the Waitaki Boys’ High School. Efforts were made about G o'clock to pull the yacht ashore. A fairly heavy sea was running, and the salvaging of the boat was not without its element of danger.
