WAIHEMO CRICKET Special to the Daily Times PALMERSTON, Jan. 18. The Waihemo competition matches were continued in showery'weather. Palmerston Suburbs, 155 (M. Allan 52, Ellis 14, Paul 25, Vinnecombe 3 for 26, Smith 3 for 24) drew with Palmerston Town, 9 down for 76 (Robertson 30, B. Allan 2 for 9, Pope 5 for 37). During the week-end a match was played between a combined Palmerston team at Hampden, resulting:—Palmerston, 190 (Hayden 21, Robertson 52, Aspinall 41, R. Costello 3 for 39, Andrew 3 for 27), defeated Hampden, 55 and 52 (Williams 14, Murphy 12, Rodgers 11, Wright 3 for 8, Currie 2 for 2). County Match The following have been selected to represent Waihemo in the annual match against Maniototo:— A Team: J. Vinnecombe (captain), J. Aspinall, R. Pope, B. Robertson (Palmerston), W. Kerr, P. Mackie (Waikouaiti), I. Stevenson, E. Stanley (Dunback), B. Allan, M. Allan, W. Barr (Palmerston). T. R. Smith (Palmerston) is twelfth man. B Team: A. G. Wilson (captain), E. Glover, R.
