FIGHTING IN MANCHURIA

COMMUNIST AIRCRAFT USED Rec. 0.30 a.m. NANKING, Dec. 30. Though a strict press censorship is Imposed in Mukden, a reliable source in Nanking stated to-day that Communist aircraft were used for the first time in Manchuria yesterday in the vicinity of Mukden, where fierce fighting has been raging for the past three days.

The Nationalist combined army and air force were thrown into largescale operations along the HankowYichang highway yesterday, according to pro-Government reports received in Nanking to-night. Large Communist forces were reported to be surrounded in the Tangchien-Sunchiao-Chenchiachi Triangle, and fierce fighting is progressing.
