TAXATION IN FRANCE
MORE. EQUITABLE BASIS DESIGNED PARIS, Dec. 31. The French National Assembly passed the Fiscal Reform Bill, which is designed to allocate taxation more equitably. The Bill gives relief to families with children. A tax of about £IOO a year will be imposed on all Frenchmen under 60, 1 who have “no remunerative, professional activity." Motor cars will be taxed about £l6 a horse-power. The income tax rate will be 16d in the £.
