The level of the dam is approaching 78 feet—the highest level in its history. Giving this information to the Daily Times on Wednesday, Cr Wright, chairman of the City Council Electricity Committee, said that with the final development of Waipori, which it was hoped would be started in the coming year, the Electricity Department was more confident than ever that the future electricity supply position would be safeguarded.
