THE SALVATION ARMY

Sir,—Within the course of a few weeks we will once again have the Christmas season with us, and naturally we will be’ planning what we can do to bring joy and happiness to those around us. We of the Salvation Army Samaritan Department are anxious to be able to bring a little extra cheer and gladness to those who are sick, the aged and the lonely, and also to many who for various reasons are needing a little extra to make the season happier. We desire to thank the many friends who have so loyally assisted us from time to time, and we will be glad to accept donations or gifts, which may be sent to the undersigned.—l am, etc., (Major) J. M. Hannaford. 37 Dowling street.
