SHOW GROUNDS CARNIVAL

The North End Citizens’ Association will hold a carnival at the Show Grounds next Saturday, at which there will be marching displays, athletic events, and a fancy dress display. The North Otago Highland Pipe Band and the Oamaru Garrison Band will be present, and patrons are urged to attend the ceremony of welcome to the newly-elected Mayor and councillors, after which the carnival will be officially opened by the Mayor, Mr M. F. E. Cooney.
