AID TO BRITAIN

Mr J. C. Kirkness was in the chair at the meeting of the executive of the Aid to Britain Committee held yesterday afternoon. Offers by Mr G. Swan to hold several community sings commencing from December 26 and by Mr L. Hosking to hold a dance on December 26, to raise funds to purchase food were accepted with thanks. , It was decided that money received by the committee be used to purchase food in bulk supply, and that it be shipped to England through' the New Zealand Red Cross Society.
