BOROVANSKY BALLET At His Majesty’s Theatre to-morrow night J. C. Williamson’s Borovansky Ballet will begin its season with a programme consisting of “ Les Sylphides,” “ Coppelia ” and “Le Beau Danube.” Playgoers and balletomanes of Dunedin will be glad to welcome back to Dunedin such brilliant artists as Tamara Tchinarova, Edna Busse, Serge Bousloff, Martin Rubinstein, Phyllis Kennedy, Joan Potter V. Trunoif, Eugine Marie and the brilliant actor and dancer, Edouard Borovansky. Kathleen Gorham, the talented young Australian ballerina, will make her first appearance here in “ Les Sylphides.” and others new to New Zealand are Leon Kellaway, Alfred Ross, Shiela McDonald, Ngaire Harrison and Peggy Campbell. On Thursday and Friday nights next,
“ Carnaval,” “ Giselle ” and “ Capriccio Italien ” are to be presented, and on Saturday afternoon and evening, November 29, and the following four nights, and also on Wednesday afternoon, December 3, “ The Swan Lake,” " Scheherazade,’ - “ Spectre de la Rose,” and “ Minuit Au Bal" will be produced. The final two nights of the season, Friday and Saturday, December 5 and 6, and also Saturday afternoon, Dei cember 6,- will be devoted to presentations of “ Concerto,” " Terra Australis." “ Sigrid" and “L’Amour Ridicule.” The work of the full symphony orchestra, under the direction of Kurt Herweg. and of the brilliant corps de ballet, is a feature of each of the ballets.
