DESTRUCTIVE FIRE
ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT LOST P.A. ASHBURTON, Nov. 8. Breaking out about 2 o’clock this morning, fire practically gutted the main store of the Ashburton Power Board, destroying a large quantity of house wiring, ranges, refrigerators, heaters, pumps, and general equipment. Practically the whole of the contents suffered damage, much being a complete loss. . : The building is insured for £4IOO and the contents for £ 15,000.
