SOUTH ISLAND PUBLICITY

At a meeting of the committee of the South Island Travel Association held recently, it was decided to appoint Mr G. C. Beckett its South Island publicity officer, with headquarters in Auckland. Besides supervising the distribution of South Island publicity, he will meet ships and planes and make contact with people, acquainting them with the undoubted advantages the South Island has to offer. The association had always realised the necessity of having representation in the North Island and the appointment of Mr Beckett will solve many of its problems. Mr Douglas Cresswell will continue to cover the South Island as publicity officer for the association.
