LAWN TENNIS ASSOCIATION

MEETING OF COMMITTEE At a meeting of the Management Committee of the Otago Lawn Tennis Association Mr F. L. C. Scrivener presided over an attendance of nine members. It was decided to hire a hall in the Y.M.C.A. for a public screening of the 1940 Davis Cup challenge round. A letter was received from Mr R. McKenzie stating that if satisfactory arrangements could be made for transport, and J, E. Robson and J. A. Barry were available, he would be willing to appear in exhibition games in Dunedin. It was decided to challenge for the Wilding Shield on November 28 and 29 and the Nunneley Casket on December 12 8 "t was decided to apply to the New Zealand Lawn-Tennis Association for the use of films of W. T. Tilden and Donald Budge, for coaching purposes, early in FGbrusry. A report was received on the McMillan Cup tournament, and it was stated that the final between Seeley and Miss Neave (University) and Hodgkinson and Miss Harvey (North-East Valley) would be glayed at Logan Park to-morrow mornIt was decided to invite South Canterbury to play Otago at Dunedin on February 14, South 'Otago to be invited V) play at Dunedin on the same day.
