Conditions in Japan were not very satisfactory, they said, with little leave and monotonous duties which, had to be carried out by occupation forces. There was no official welcome for the 17 members of the draft who left the train at Dunedin for their homes in the city and suburbs, but the Mayor, Mr D. C. Cameron, spoke to individual men as they were leaving the platform. All the members of the draft had left the within. .20 minutes^jMfl^^^^RMj^^jjghL ■f
