Supplies of Dried Fruits Expected Soon

P.A. WELLINGTON, Sept. 15. Some relief from the serious shortage of dried fruits for cakes which has existed for several weeks is expected shortly as large shipments are due to arrive from South Australia this month and early in October. The Aldington Court which is at present at Melbourne will probably bring between 20,000 and 25,000 cases and two other vessels the Gienpark which left Adelaide last Thursday and is due at Auckland on Saturday or Sunday, and the Kurow, which is to leave Melbourne for Auckland about September 23—are also expected to bring dried fruit from South Australia.
