“A SORRY OUTCOME”

STATE MEDICAL SERVICE IN DOMINION N.Z.P.A. Special Correspondent LONDON, Sept. 3. In a letter to the Daily Telegraph. Sir Ernest Graham-Little, a noted London physician, claims that the results of the New Zealand State medical service have been such that “ this sorry outcome of a 10-year experiment should be carefully pondered by our own people and by the British medical profession, which is now threatened with a similar experiment.” He quotes figures recently submitted to the House of Representatives showing the increased cost of the, scheme in New Zealand, and recapitulates the criticism of the State medical service expressed during the House of Representatives’ debate on the subject.
