FINE WITH MODERATE TEMPERATURES The following official weather forecast, covering the ensuing 24 hours, wss issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by. the • Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone is advancing on to New Zealand and a depression is approaching Southern Tasmania. Forecast, to 5 p.m. To-day.—South-west winds, becoming light and variable. and northerlies later prevailing; weather line, temperatures moderate. Further Outlook.—Freshening northwesterlies and increasing cloud. Weather in Dunedin.—Conditions were warm in Dunedin yesterday, although only 2hr 6min of sunshine were recorded. The maximum temperature was 52.8 degrees, the minimum 44.3 degrees, and the grass minimum 36.3 degrees. There was no rain and only a slight south-westerly breeze. At midnight the barometer was rising steadily, and the reading was 29.85 in (1011 millibars).
