HUNGARIAN GOVERNMENT MEMBERS AND PARTY LEADERS , RESIGN Rec. 8 p.m. BUDAPEST, Sept. 4. The Hungarian News Agency reported that the Government announced its resignation during a meeting of the Council of Ministers. Reuter’s correspondent in Budapest says the revolt in the Social Democrat Party over alleged irregularities in the Hungarian elections came to a head wjth the resignations of the president of the party, M. Szakasits. and the general secretary, M. George Marosam. Two Ministers in the pre-election Cabinet, M. Istvan Ries, Minister of Justice, and M. Antal Ban, Minister of Industry, took over the leadership of the Social Democratic Party after Szakisits and Marosam resigned. The resignations followed warm criticism from a section of the party which opposed Szakisits’s policy of appeasement with the Communists.
